How to behave in forums, mailing lists and Facebook groups

There was a time Netiquette, neologism created at the dawn of the Internet to indicate all those rules of conduct which the new Internet users had to adapt in order to be accepted into the new online community. Over time the community has increased exponentially, but netiquette has been somewhat 'forgotten, and today some forums, mailing lists and Facebook groups seem real jungles of hand.
In other groups, moderates, new users are often afraid to participate because someone before them has been savagely "fuck" for not respecting the basic rules.
Mailing lists, forums or Facebook group that is, here are basic instructions to behave well online and Partecseems so respected and authoritative to a community!
Instructions
Rules: Many communities write their own rules clearly evident in a post or in a separate page. Before you write something make sure you read them well and respect them Archives: Rules or no, before joining read the old archives, look at the style used by other users and the type of topics covered in the community, definitely something you will learn how to behave in the group Use the search button: Do not launch yourself at once to ask some information. Before asking a question use the search function of the group / forum and see if someone has already asked that question and if the application has already been answered Nothing "Even I": When you participate in a debate always add something useful and interesting to it. Capitalization and punctuation: write in a normal way, DO NOT USE ONLY CAPITAL LETTERS and avoid inserting long series of !!!!!!!!! or ??????? Smileys can of course use in moderation No Off Topic: Some forums require special section where you talk about anything. In all other contexts stick to the group. If it is a forum for cooking do not ask how to fix your car Nothing Flame: The Flame discussions are unnecessary and aggressive when tempers heat up and people arguing for trivial reasons. If someone likes the Mac, acknowledge and dissent, not where you will find holy wars like Windows vs. Mac, Ferrari vs. Lamborghini and the like. Ignore people who do, will not receive care if they stop Be Global: unless you are on groups' geographiclimited mind, remember that in a group there are probably people from across Italy and even around the world. Do not ask too much specific information about your town Be Nice: Do not ask only the questions that interest you.
